Online AVL2

The Online AVL interface

At the centre of the Navman Vehicle Tracking and Fleet Management system is the OnlineAVL (automatic vehicle locator) software solution developed on the Microsoft .net platform.

Online AVL2 has been developed for very ease of use with most of our customers up and running within an hour of the technology going live.

Online AVL2 provides 24x7 access to your fleet's activity data, via the World Wide Web and using satellite tracking of the vehicle locations (with GPS).

It enables you to locate your vehicles in seconds.

This means that you can track, message and navigate your fleet from almost any PC, in any location around the world – in your office, at home, on the road.

  • Immediate online view of the location and current availability of every vehicle, no matter where they are. This allows you to send the field staff detailed job details with attached address of work site.
  • Through Online AVL you can request desktop alerts on boundary crossings and information on specific vehicle activities.
  • Maps can be zoomed from country to street level to provide concise, accurate and reliable details.
  • You can send detailed messages to one, some, or all of your vehicles from your desktop regarding jobs, locations or changes.
  • Search and dispatch the nearest vehicle to a site location for efficient response time and cost savings.
  • Be alerted for unauthorised use of vehicles, for example out of hours movements or potential theft events.
  • Manage the maintenance schedules, insurance and registration dates due across the fleet.
  • Detailed reports with detailed current and historical data on each vehicle’s activities, including mapping, dates, and times of routes taken.
  • Reports also include all vehicle start/stop times, rest breaks, time on site, travel time and trip distances.
  • Time sheet reports provide an immediate, at week snapshot, of start and stop timer per day for your fleet.
  • Use the reports to save administration time by accurately noting time taken on sites for assistance with invoicing and for accurate generation of daily and weekly timesheets for workers.
  • The comprehensive vehicle information allows you to accurately invoice for work completed, and to verify information queried by the customer.
  • By drawing boundary lines around locations / job sites OnlineAVL will provide reports on site visits and crossings.
  • Subcontractor fleets can be managed allowing subcontractor to be added or removed.
  • Enhanced vehicle groups allowing multiple fleets and fleet managed as different groupings with individual viewing rights assigned.
  • View all communications between the AVL operator and the driver. With enhanced message display features.
